Location: Castle Rock Campground located at Fremont Indian State Park
Description: Comfortable, secluded campground with beautiful geological features surrounding you. A creek runs through the campsite but is only accessible by walking a through thick trees and brush. Perfect for tent camping and RVs, ample shade and most sites are blocked from view of camping neighbors. Don’t forget to stop by the Fremont Indian State Park visitor’s center for trail maps to get up close to the ancient Fremont Indian rock art.
Reservations: www.reserveamerica.com for $13 a night. Your reservation included admission to the Fremont Indian State Park visitor’s center and museum, which is a must!
Good to Know: Get directions directly to the campsite by calling the number on your reservations. We trusted a mapping website which took us to the visitor’s center and the signs from there to the campground are very small and not well placed. Firewood is available for $3 an arm load, bring cash with you.
